November 2019 Canyon View Cub Chronicle

“Friendship is the only cement that will ever hold the world together.”

Woodrow Wilson

Hello Canyon View Families & Friends,

There has been a lot to celebrate the last two weeks at Canyon View. We had a splendid World Kindness Day where students and staff went out of their way to show extra thoughtfulness. The effects of that day have lingered as we continue to be more intentional in how we treat others. See our Canyon View Facebook page for some examples of the friendship:https://www.facebook.com/canyonview.pta/

We also celebrated our students who participated in the PTA Reflections contest. The theme “Look Within” inspired students to design and share in very creative ways, which was celebrated in a school-wide assembly.

Click the Facebook link above for pictures of our artists and continue reading below to celebrate our students who moved on to the next level of competition.

Educationally yours,

Kierstin Draper

Reflections Winners – “Look Within”

Last week PTA held an assembly to showcase all of our Canyon View Reflections Art Contest entries! The entire school enjoyed listening to an original music composition, watching film shorts and dance choreography, and seeing the amazing photography, 2D and 3D visual arts and literature entries by our talented Canyon View students.

Thank you to our PTA Reflections Chairperson, Katie Pond for volunteering to take this project on and making it a success!

Thank you to the family, friends & teachers who encouraged and supported our students to “Reach Within.”
