It is a privilege and an honor to serve as your principal since June of 2024. Previously, I was the principal at Sandy Elementary for four years and before that, I served as an elementary assistant principal for about 8 years. I am originally from Wyoming but have lived in Utah for the past 25 years. I currently live in Herriman with my wife, Annie, and our three beautiful children.
My personal leadership goal is to be transparent and collaborative with our teachers and community members. Collectively we can accomplish a lot more. I recognize that Canyon View is a high performing school. My goal is to support all students in extending their learning and deepening their understanding of challenging, relevant, and rigorous concepts.
I am impressed and amazed at the parent support and involvement here at Canyon View! It is clear that our families are invested and put a high value on academic growth and development. Our School Community Council is informed and active in supporting and promoting student and teacher success. Our PTA works tirelessly to celebrate diversity and learner creativity. Numerous parents volunteer regularly throughout the school. I encourage our community members to come and participate in any of the large number of activities sponsored by our PTA, SCC, Watch Dogs, or other opportunities.
Canyon View is a great place to be!
