  1. Rules of orders and procedures:
  1. We want to follow these as much of these as we can- Learn more in SCC training
  2. When we make a decision there needs to be a majority of us all together. 15 total members.
  3. Notes we post a week before the meeting
  4. Everything is public
  1. Schedule
    1. Stay on schedule and discuss if we need to extend the time for meetings- can move to extend meetings if necessary.
    2. We need to post a schedule
    3. Second Tuesday of the month proposed as scheduled.
    4. Approve our plan in March. Digital safety plan due October and one in December.
  1. Post roster on website
    1.  Must have an email, you must be contactable
    2. Watch out for phishing
  1. Safety update
  1. Mr. Walker had a conversation right before the meeting. Told it is already illegal to park there. They will take it into consideration but the representative he spoke to doesn’t think it will make a difference.
  2. Should we consider a more public route?
  3. Katie Dahle said she can reach out and see what can be done.
  4. The law states it is illegal to stop, stand or park in a bike lane. This is a new law as of 2025.
  5. The difference between someone actively waiting to get into the waiting line than people leaving their car to get their kid.
  6. Should we put up an A-frame sign? Would that be more impactful?
  7. Reminder that it is against the law to park in the bike lane regardless of a red painted curb.
  8. Kali asking Katie Cartright about getting an A-Frame sign.
  1. Classes
  2. Able to add another Kindergarten class.
  3. Total numbers affect who we can hire.
  4. 2 Kinder classes of 20 and 1 of 18 so far.
  5. We are still paying for a teacher to make class sizes smaller.
  6. 473 total students as of yesterday
  7. Four 5th grade, three 4th grade, three in 3rd, four in 2nd, four in 1st, three in Kindergarten

    1. 80% of all students, 85% of kinder, 90% 1st grade
  3. Math
    1. Lots of patience and support with all of the manipulatives and implementing the new curriculum. How to help make sure it is being implemented.
    2. Teachers let us know how we can help so its not more of a burden
  1. Student Well-being
  1. Mr. Walker saw solid, strong growth from the pretest to the post test- we need to pick a number to gage

  5. Who teaches? Split between teachers, Kaylee, Jessica, and Mr. Walker
  1. Budget
  2. BTS (the grant) is actually 8 hours on her off week to be implementing more art into the classes- above and beyond the art night. Not quite enough in the budget right now but Mr. Walker feels confident there will be enough left over.
    1. Can we start at 6 and pump it up if we don’t have enough. If there is a fair split between the hours?
    2. Is the PTA able to give a grant? Discussion about PTA donations being used to push in on supplies etc. for interventionalists etc.
  • The BTS grant has different requirements
  1. BLT training, PL, Peer Observations- any wiggle room? Difficult year to do that.
  2. There will be leftover money in budget from when hourly employees take personal leave days (unpaid).
  1. Actual number for the new teacher is about 96000
  2. We need exact numbers from our interventionists. Can we look at how this is historically? Get the new numbers and see what is realistic?
  •
  1. Started 17 hours last year and bumped up to 22 hours for interventionalists.
