  • Budget of 26/27

    1. Looks like we have 25,900 to use strategically.

      1. Alecia asked that if we still have enough money to add to interventionalist to help with the large 3rd grade classes- add 6 hours
      1. Teachers have always been in favor for as many hours is the interventionalist as possible.
      1. You can use interventionalist for behavior or academic intervention
      1. Mr. Walker -Interventionists must be supporting one of our goals – reading or math
        1. How can we support teachers in classes when our interventionist can only help with our specific goals
        1. We can amend our plan- especially if we need to because of the loss of a teacher.
        1. Do we need someone who already is involved in our community to add another behavioralist?
          1. Can we find someone who fits the bill of behavior we have.
          1. A behavioralist doesn’t need a degree- they are the first line of defense.
      1. Mr. Walker will find out if the interventionalist want an increase in hours- but if they don’t, we can hire someone.
        1. Four reading interventionalist and one behavioralist – math they could adjust too.
        1. A more successful student in school is less likely to need behavioral help.

        1. But now we have 5 large classes that really need help
        1. Mr. Walker thought that we would be discussing more about allocating funds to our interventionist.
          1. Research backed that the behavior interventions make a difference
          1. Amber comes in and helps take over classes so that the teacher can work with the students to help with the behaviors.
