Last week was a big week at Canyon View! We had the highest attendance of elementary schools in the district with 76% on Presidents Day Monday (our Snow Day makeup day) and Fox 13 visited us to report. We then ended the week with our 3rd – 5th grade Spelling Bee. All of our contestants did an impressive job with Cameron Brown taking first place with the word “anagrams” and Brennan Dance taking second place with the word “squadron”. They will represent Canyon View in the Northern Utah Spelling Bee on March 7 as contenders for the National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. Best of luck, gentlemen. We know you will represent us well!
Students will dismiss THIS THURSDAY at 1:40 PM to provide teachers more time to meet with parents for Parent Teacher Conferences. There is also NO SCHOOL Friday due to teachers having twelve hour days with parents and students on Wednesday and Thursday.
